Well, what can I say! I attended #Curlfest in Brooklyn, NY at Prospect Park on Saturday, July 21, 2018 and it was AMAZING!!! This is an event that occurs one time a year, it gets bigger and bigger! This festival of hair was created by Curly Girl Collective. Curlfest is a celebration of curly and natural hair for women, men, and children with many entertaining things to enjoy, such as the music, dancing, photos being taking everywhere, empowerment speeches, and all types of fun. I love this festival because it teaches you to love yourself and know that your not the only one who seems to look or be different because of your hair. There are vendors all around selling their products from food, clothing, jewelry, and of course, hair products. Some of the hair lines that attended this year were SheaMoisture, Eden Body Works, Carol’s Daughter, and Mielle, just to name a few.
I had only two of my hearts with me instead of three. It was so crowded that we waited for it to die down a bit to start visiting 
all the different vendors to see what we could buy. We received free samples from vendors as we walked throughout the park. There were great deals, especially on the hair products. That’s right up my alley because having 4 heads of natural hair to take care of under one household is not cheap. 
So, Curlfest is a way for me to purchase products I love and also, products I’m willing to try because the full-size bottles aren’t selling for retail value! They’re much affordable! I was a bit bummed out because one of my favorite hair companies weren’t there, but it was okay, there were obviously others I enjoy using. I know it’s very early, but I’m so exciting for next year’s Curlfest! I will keep you posted for details in the future! Remember, drink your Evian!!
